Banjar Healing Hot Springs

As we wrapped up a lovely morning at sea we asked our captain what we should do with the day. "There are so many things to do around here!" he said "Hot springs, Buddhist temple, waterfalls- all very close" He explained the hot springs and temple are in one direction and the waterfalls are in the other direction, but it would be easy to do them all in one day if we wanted. So we went and got a latte and did some research. The Banjar Healing Hot Springs is a complex made up of 3 pools. They consist of 26 % sulphur and the temperature is about 100 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a large swimming pool that gets up to 6 feet deep and two smaller pool with fountains spouting water. It was a little smelly because of the sulphur content, but you don't notice it after a while.

When we were there it started raining so it was a pretty nice place to be. It was 20,000 IDR to enter which is about $1.33. There is also a restaurant and a spa in he whole complex area and many shops lining the street to the entrance of the pools. It was a really nice way to spend some time.

If you are looking for more ideas of what to do in Lovina, You can go swim with Dolphins, checkout a really tall waterfall, go eat at my favorite restaurant and check out a Buddhist Temple!
