Blog Post Announcement

So we have moved along on our little adventure and we left The Philippines on Wednesday night. We began our night travel plans at 10:00pm and went to the airport in Puerto Princesa our flight left at 11:40pm. We flew to Manila and got there at about 1:00am then our flight out left at 3:45am we arrived in Bali, Indonesia at 7:50am. We had to purchase our Visas. ($33usd) We are grumpy. One slightly stressful two hour taxi ride later and we have arrived at our hotel. We get out of the taxi and the streets of Ubud smell of insence, there are flowers everywhere, and the sidewalks have beautiful stone tiling. We walk down a hidden pathway and through a door to a courtyard/ 'front desk' area and are greeted and taken to our room. It's absolutely perfect, the bed is comfortable (the Philippines do not have comfortable beds) and I have a small outdoor kitchen.

So after a full night of traveling we pretty much just slept. for the whole day. We got some food then went back to sleep. I'm not a fan of over night traveling so I hope we didn't book anymore nighttime flights, but if we did I guess, it's just a small price to pay.

It's us, Monica & Grant! In February 2023 we set off on a wild adventure driving across the country to take a job in Montana it was an amazing experience and while we worked really hard for 7 months we planned an amazing trip to fill our time when the season ended. We have created this blog so our friends and family can follow along on our trip to South East Asia and so we have a place to look back on this once in a lifetime experience.
